Americool Heating & Air is a family-owned and operated heating, air conditioning and insulation company based in Placentia, California. For 21 years we’ve provided quality, affordable HVAC sales, installation, maintenance, service and repair for homeowners across Orange County.

We’re also one of the few HVAC companies that does attic and wall insulation in-house. That means when your house won’t stay cool, we can fix the cause — not just sell you a bigger unit.

 Verified We desperately needed insulation and our roofer gave us the recommendation of Americool.  Scott, the owner, made the whole process seamless and explained what options we had for insulation products.  We had a unique situation where we needed batting instead of blow in for just one part of the attic.  He said it was no problem and  that's exactly what they did.  We didn't want all the walls insulated at this time so he worked with us to just get the sun facing walls of the house done.  The price was great and he matched the stucco repair from the insulation holes in the walls seamlessly.  We highly recommend Scott and his team for insulation.

 Verified Last year we decided to change the attic insulation which was the original R19 from 1979 when the house was built. I requested quotes from Yelp and Scott, the owner of Americool, was the only company who called me back. I received 3 or 4 other bids and Scott was by far the least expensive and extremely knowledgeable about the job requirements. We went with him and we're very pleased with the final product. 

Then, this year we decided to replace the ducting, furnace and compressor to our HVAC system. Once again, the furnace & ducting were also original from '79 when the house was built, so needless to say we were in need of an upgrade. We got 3 other bids and Scott again came in the lowest and his bid included some extras the other companies didn't. We now have fully functioning HVAC system and are super happy with the work

Scott was present during the entirety of both jobs which was important to me as I like to deal with one person from start to finish. Scott came out personally to provide a bid, and was there at the beginning & end of the job. I would highly recommend Americool for any of your HVAC needs including yearly "tune ups" before the summer season. Thanks Scott!! No offensive, but I hope not to see you until a tune up is required , unless you wanna golf or something like that.

 Verified As this heatwave is starting this year my ac wasn't keeping up like I felt it should,  I called and had them come out yesterday and the technician came out and said the condenser fan was probably going out.   We scheduled an appointment for Tuesday .   This morning I woke up and the fan and seized so I called.  They came back and replaced the fan and also the thermostat because the other one was so user unfriendly.   I am sooo grateful.  They are amazing.  Best blessing ever.

 Verified Scott is really a great guy and knows his stuff when it comes to heating, A/C, and insulation. He services our 20+ year old compressor outside and this time we had him install some additional insulation in our attic to keep the upstairs a little cooler. Him and his guys are conscience and polite and were able to run the hose through an upstairs window without stepping on the tile roof to blow in the R30 insulation. I hope my unit lasts another 5 years or so and I'll know who to call when I need a new one.

 Verified Scott, the owner of the company, is very knowledgeable, honest, & does a clean job. He does a thorough inspection and take everything into consideration. Very punctual. Some of the work, he does not delegate to his team but does it him self to ensure quality. Unlike other companies,  there is no up-selling and no jargon or sales pitch. The products used for insulation are top of the line. I would highly recommend working with the company for all insulation needs.

 Verified We had insulation blown into our exterior walls. The team showed up on time, the price was lower than the competition, and we got a great result. The first night after the install, the temp outside got down to 47 - cold for OC - but it was nice and warm inside.

 Verified Couldn't be happier with the quality of work and service. Scott really is the man, he showed up on time, did what he said he was going to do, for the exact price he quoted me. I would recommend Scott and his crew to anyone in a heartbeat - they're the kind of guys you'd have over for a family BBQ. We had the walls of our entire second floor insulated by Americool. They were in and out, got the job done in less than one full day and didn't leave a trace of their work behind.  Verified Excellent job insulating garage and exterior walls of the house.  Showed up on time, completed the job when he said he would, and thoroughly clean the entire area before they left.  Honest as to what work was needed and did not attempt to oversell product.  I would recommend Scott and Americool for anyone looking to add or replace Insulation in their home.

 Verified Scott is the man!!!

The one thing I value more than anything when it comes to any type of service for my home is trust!!  Letting someone do work on your home can be very nerve racking, especially if you don't know anything about home repairs, electricity or HVAC.  Scott is a very trustworthy person who is knowledgeable and genuine.  He has a great work ethic.  I'm surprised there aren't many more reviews on here.  

Scott did our insulation, evaporator coils and furnace.  After the work was completed our summers and winters have been very comfortable.  Before he helped us the summers were extremely hot, especially upstairs and we would wear sweaters and 2 pairs of socks in the winter.  All the work he's recommended has done exactly what we wanted....to live in a very comfortable home.  Just the insulation helped, and there's a rebate, which Scott helped us get.

On top of everything he has great prices.  I would, and do, recommend him to anyone needing of his services.
